We stayed locally in Maricopa for 4th of July. They have a big festival and fireworks that evening. It was fun and we all had a good time visiting with people we knew and playing together. That evening we did a sugar cookie buffet. The kids got to decorate their own cookies with red, white, and blue colored fruit. After that, we played with sparklers in the back yard until it was time to go.
