About 6 months before her birthday, Emma started asking me how soon her birthday was. She then informed me that she was going to pick everything that they do for her party. (I guess I didn't do it correctly last year or something like that.) Anyway, she had a fun and crazy party with some of her friends. Here's the run down:
We supplied each child with a squirt gun and put out a pool to fill them up.
Emma was a heroic big sister and defended Anya during the water fight.
Mike and my amazing friend Karina filled up water balloons using this cool balloon filler upper thing (I don't know what to call it.) They were absolutely amazing because the balloons were getting popped faster than they could fill them.
And of course, the kids wanted to try their hand at filling them too.
After that, we did a pinata. Emma wanted a mermaid pinata and a mermaid cake.
Then we had lunch. Here is Emma with some of her school friends.
And here is her highness getting shown how to drink a squeeze-it. 
Emma's friend Xavier drew a portrait of her in honor of her birthday.
Last we opened presents and had cupcakes!
Emma's big surprise was that we got her a new scooter. She had been saving and saving to get a new one since her old one got stolen. She was very excited. (Unfortunately I didn't get a very good picture of her opening it.)
It was a very fun day!
