Last year after her birthday, Emma bought herself a fishing pole with her birthday money. Well, this year she finally got to use it. Grandpa Poff is a big time fisher and every morning, Emma would go out to the garden where Grandpa was working and they would talk about plants, and the worms in his compost pile, and fishing.
From what I understand, Grandpa did the baiting and casting and the girls helped reel them in.
When Sierra caught her fish, Grandpa asked them if they wanted to let it live and let it go back into the water or if they wanted to keep it and it would die. Emma and Whitney were very concerned about letting the fish live so they released theirs and Sierra wanted to kill it! : ) So she kept hers.
Mike found a monstrous dandelion while they were walking in so he had all the girls try to make a wish and blow it.
She was so excited to go with Grandpa and I'm so glad she got to. Mike went as well as my mom and Sierra and Whitney. All the girls caught a fish and I'm pretty sure they all had a lot of fun.
