We had a fun and busy day this Halloween. We woke up early and went to play ultimate frisbee with some friends. Mike had a great time because he made some awesome plays. When he got home, this was waiting for the birthday boy:
Emma and I went to get some last minute things from the store and she got second place in a costume contest. She won some huge decorated cookies that she shared with the neighborhood kids.
The cookie winnings. Can you guess what she is?We had pizza and homemade ice cream for the birthday dinner (part 2). It was nice to be outside and to be able to picnic in our own backyard.
Picnicking on the lawn for the birthday dinner with pizza and stuff.
Who needs to save up for a hammock when you've got daddy?
"Eatin' my pizza in my own personal hammock."
We had homemade rocky road ice cream for his "cake." I couldn't do all the candles because it would have all melted in about 2 seconds with all that flame. We went trunk or treating at the church and hit a few neighbors on the way home.
Have you guessed it . . .?
A jellyfish!
What an angel!
Because she needed more sugar.
Enjoying the walking since she can't really eat most of the candy.
Loving on the candy while waiting for the next trick-or-treater.Emma liked giving out candy as much as she liked getting it. After all the sugar and excitement, she was perfectly calm. (Yeah right)
What she did while she was waiting for the people to come.
