The Dinosaur Museum

Mike and I decided to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season to take the kids to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point. They loved the exhibits, and especially the hands on ones. At the front desk, they advertised that there were elves painted into the exhibits and scenery around the museum. Anya got really excited about that and spent most of the time looking for them. She and I searched pretty hard, but we were only able to find a few of them. She was pretty disappointed and I have to give props to the museum department because they hid those suckers well! Mike had so much fun taking Brandon through and showing him everything. It was Brandon's first time so he was really enthralled by the dinosaurs. It was also fun to see Emma actually reading the plaques and learning about everything instead of just walking through. Kaitlin loved going back and forth between me with the older kids and Mike with Brandon who was a little slower. I swear she saw everything twice. A family favorite was the dinosaur puzzle board. They had a huge wall covered in sheet metal and about 6 dinosaur skeletons that were broken up into parts. We had a lot of fun trying to match and fit together the puzzles. It make me want to make a magnetic wall in my house because we had so much fun working together.
