Polar Express

There is a really cool place near us in Lindon that is a scale model of a train that you can ride called the Stringtown Express. This extended family bought some houses all right next to each other and then they built train tracks between all the houses and then offer rides to other people. It is seriously awesome. You sit inside the scale sized box cars and ride on the tracks, through a tunnel, and around beautiful scenery. The whole ride took about 30 minutes.

Every Christmas they do a polar express where they take families on the train and at a certain part of the ride, you get off and the kids get to visit Santa's workshop. It is all decked out in toys and presents and elves and of course Santa.

For the second part of the ride, they play Christmas music and show pictures of Christ and His birth.

We got to go with some families in our ward and then got together for hot chocolate and cookies after. We enjoyed having some family time during the Christmas season.
