Logan's Mission Call

We were pretty excited to have Logan here during summer and fall term at BYU. We got to see him a few times and let me tell you that boy has a soft place in my heart. I have really fond memories of playing with him when I was a teenager and getting to be his aunt. I know I still am his aunt, but he's all grown and he doesn't like playing with me as much as he used to. :) He is such an amazing man and we were so blessed to get to be with him when he open his mission call a couple of months ago.

It was so funny to see everyone pull out their phones and try to connect with various family members around the country and Logan jokingly giving people a hard time for not charging their phones. It was cool to see all his friends there to support him. We were excited to get to say hi to Grandma and our West cousins after he opened his call.

Right before he opened the envelope, he took a huge breath and gave everyone a nervous smile. Then he shakily and very carefully pulled out the paper, but covered it before he could read it all. He read it line by line and got a huge smile on his face when he saw where he was going. He got called to the Denmark, Copenhagen mission and he is going to do wonderful things over there. He told us that his Jergensen side of the family is from there and he was excited to learn more about his roots. When I took him to the airport to fly home, he said he was excited because one part of his mission is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world and he can't wait to see it.

Saying hi to Grandma.

We are so proud of you Logan, you are going to be a great missionary!
