We met Maddie in spring 2013 when Brian came to visit for a few days and see her. We went to the zoo together and played games. They were sickeningly cute to each other. And it kind of reminded Mike and I when we were dating. You could just tell how in love they were.
We were so privileged to get to attend Brian and Madison's wedding at the beginning of Dec 2013. It was so great to see all of Mike's siblings and to be able to be together in the temple. Maddy looked so beautiful and her dress was gorgeous. It was so fun to see how sickeningly cute they are together. Being together as a family in the temple was such a special experience. It is amazing the spirit you feel when you are in such a sacred place with people who you love so much. On top of everything else, it was such a clear day so we could see all three bridges. That doesn't happen all the time, so it must be a good luck omen.
Their reception was so, so much fun. They decided to do a carnival themed reception. They had games, balloon animals, and face painting. The kids didn't want to leave when it was over.
The cousins had so much fun being around each other. Grandma waited for us to come so that we could all decorate the Christmas tree together. The sleeping arrangements were pretty tight and we got to stay with Melanie and James at his house. The girls had so much fun sleeping over with Melanie.
