This 4th was probably a good practice for what's to come in Arizona because we spent almost the whole day with just our family. This is a first for us because the friends (Mark and Jennie) and family (The Hansons) we always watched the fireworks with moved. : ( I guess it's our turn to move. (Hopefully this week, but that's a whole different story.) We watched the parade in the morning. I am always amazed at how many people show up to watch the parade. (250,000 spectators!) Provo really is one of the best cities to be in to celebrate the 4th. We will definitely miss it next year.

We had lunch at a friend's house and watched the fireworks at the best place to see them (Hinckley Center at BYU) that night. It was a lot of fun. Emma and Anya had a blast running/crawling around the grass. We played a little Uno while Anya ate a little Uno.
Emma threw pop-its. And we just hung out. My favorite memory was while Emma was throwing the pop-its. She was standing over on the sidewalk while we were sitting on the grass. Mike kept secretly throwing his own pop-its over to where she was standing and she would look around to try to figure out where it was coming from. It was hilarious. Eventually she got wise and looked over at Mike and gave him a very stern talking to.

Yes, we are wearing matching shirts. Much to Mike's chagrin, we will do it every 4th. I love being cheezy on the 4th of July!
