Katydid turned two! She has so much personality and is such a cutie. She isn't talking a ton, but some of the things she says really make me smile. Instead of alright, she says aight like a little gangster girl. When she is finished eating at the table, she yells dumb instead of done. (At which point it's hard not to say, "Kaitlin are you dumb(done)?") Whenever we ask her to say a new word, instead of saying the word, she will just say "yeah." So the conversation goes something like this (all the while she has a huge smile on her face): "Kaitlin, can you say Brandon?"
"Yeah."
"Say Brandon"
"Yeah"
"Brandon"
"Yeah"
Since Brandon has been born, she and I have been buddies and she holds my hand as we walk around the house together doing things. For the last 6 months, she has been dictating to me what outfit she wants me to pick for her. I was kind of bummed that I didn't get to pick anymore. : ) I know that her family is important to her because she says everyone's name all day long. Last night we went grocery shopping, just her and I, and the whole time she kept repeating everyone's name over and over.
She was lucky that Grandma West was visiting for her birthday and she made her a cool toy that has been popular with both her and Anya. She sewed a bunch of pieces of fabric about the same size as a wipe and put them in a wipes container. So now, she pulls those out instead of all the wipes out of the container!
And what did we get her? What every broke parent should do . . . we bought batteries for toys that have been out of batteries for about 6 months so it was like she was getting a new toy! Yep we're that cheap and that smart. ; )
Okay, she also got some real presents, but that isn't as fun to remember. And in our defense, she loves playing with that toy now. : )

I did a flower cake to go with her flower costume for Halloween this year. When she ate the cake she was cracking us up.
First she didn't want to get her hands messy.
(Classic Kaitlin scowl. )
Then she tried with her hands.
Finally, she decided she needed a fork.
We love our little Katydid and look forward to many more years with this little cutie!
