We were super lucky to get to see our cousin Sam after he went to EFY last summer. The kids were so excited to have him stay with us for a few days. The minute he got here, they made him read Green Eggs and Ham multiple times. I had to save him and tell them to go find something else to do.
He helped us break in our new rocket launcher. We tried doing it in the church parking lot, but soon found that it wasn't big enough. They had to hop the wall behind the church to find the rocket.
The next day we went for a hike to donut falls. The hike ends at a waterfall that falls down a hole in the top of an open cave. It was amazing. Once we got there, there was a huge mountain side that you could climb up to see the falls from the top. Of course all the kids wanted to try it and we were pretty proud of all of them for making it to the top, even Brandon and Kaitlin. The kids' favorite part was feeding some food to the chipmunks near the falls. Those cute fuzzies were fearless and came so close to the kids to get the food. They were pretty cute. (Unfortunately, this was also the time when we realized that our camera was dying and the pictures didn't turn out to great.)
